Introducing our Virtuous Pie Vancouver General Manager, Jess Falcão.

Jess is a force — both in the kitchen and on the floor. Her can-do attitude is infectious and is a privilege to have in our restaurants. We’re constantly inspired by the way Jess makes the world move around her and we count ourselves lucky to witness it on a regular basis.

What’s your background? Have you always worked in restaurants?

My background is in law. I worked as a lawyer for 5 years in Brazil before coming to Canada. I started at MILA as a host and worked there for more than a year before I moved to Virtuous Pie. From there, I worked my way up to General Manager and I am very proud of it!

any interests or hobbies outside of work?

I love reading, as well as spending time with my family and friends in my free time.

What’s one thing about Virtuous Pie you find unique that you think other people should know about?

We are a team. There’s little distinction between those that work Front of House and those that work Back of House. Everybody helps each other out when needed and I really appreciate that.

WHAT’S Your favourite food item on the menu?

My favorite item on the menu is the Stranger Wings. Although I am not a big fan of spicy food, I love the texture of the ingredients, as well as the flavours of them together. To balance the spiciness, I like to add extra Blue Cheese, and the result is a perfect combination for me.

WHAT’S Your go-to beverage on the menu?

My go-to beverage is our House-Made Classic Lemonade. It’s an amazing and refreshing choice both during and after a shift.
