Year In Summary | 2022
We’re nearing the end of December, which means it’s time to reflect on what happened in 2022 and pick up some lessons to take into the new year.
In 2022, we opened a new location in Germany! We couldn’t be more excited to see where this space will take us, and we’re grateful for everyone who’s been a part of our getting here.
In the same breath, we sadly had to say goodbye to our UBC/Wesbrook community after years of business decline due to a campus made empty by the pandemic. But, we’re thankful for the continued support at our Main St. location.
Across locations, we launched a ton of new pizzas, desserts, and ice cream flavours, but the most ordered menu item by far was the Ultraviolet pizza, of which we made over 25,000.
As for ice cream, Hedgehog was easily the top-selling flavour at every location — we sold over 1,000 pints altogether.
We also embraced being open for dine-ins again as we hosted pop-ups, plant swaps, and seasonal collaborations with neighbouring businesses. From donut ice cream sandwiches to footlong hot dogs, we had fun experimenting with new food items and getting involved with our local communities.
While we love working with flavours and presentations, donating to our favourite charities in the process made our work that much more meaningful.
Some were fundraisers while others were meal donations, but all of it made a difference.
Our 2023 New Year’s Resolutions
In an industry that’s changing every day, we’re constantly learning and experimenting with new ideas. We’ve learned a lot in 2022, and we’re taking it all with us into the new year.
In 2023, we want to stay creative with our seasonal menu updates. But, we also want to add to that by introducing more store-specific feature items catered to each city’s palate.
So, keep sending us suggestions for what you want to see on our menus next year!
2023 will also be our “putting ourselves out there” era. While donating to charitable causes is important to us, we also want to show up for auctions, contests, festivals, and meetups. Expect to see us a lot more outside the four walls of our restaurants next year.
We’re excited to see where the new year will take us, and we hope you’ll tag along for the ride.
