It’s hard to believe January is already here; a month to look forward to the year ahead, set new goals, and create new habits. Whatever yours may be, we want to continue to challenge you to add more plants into your diet and live #ThatPlantLife.
As we head into the new year, we’re taking a minute to reflect on why and how we live this lifestyle. We do it for the animals, for the planet, and for our health. We do it through the food that we eat, the connections we make, and the collaborations we form.
In 2019, we’re excited to share more of that with you and encourage you to take a moment to reflect for yourself: what does #ThatPlantLife mean to you? How can you stay true to and bring this into your every day, even more so, in 2019?
We’d like to think we can help, by making your experience easy, enjoyable, and delicious. To kick off 2019, we’re making a few changes of our own at Virtuous Pie. From launching Virtuous Hour and brunch in Toronto, to adding some new items to Happy Hour in Vancouver and Portland, to rolling out a whole new brunch menu across all markets, we’re here to make living #ThatPlantLife something to look forward to.

Come one, come all, we’ve got important news! On Monday, January 21st, we’re launching Virtuous Hour at our College Street location. Think your favourite pizzas, small plates, and drinks, for your new favourite price. Available Monday through Saturday, grab your friends and come indulge!

HAPPY HOUR + SMALL PLATE UPDATE
Back on the West Coast, we’re making some changes too. If you’ve been following our Toronto journey, you’ve likely seen our Broccolini small plate: Broccolini, Miso Garlic Sauce, Sweet Soy, Fried Shallots. And if you’ve been dying to try it, you’re in luck! As of Wednesday, January 23rd, we’ll be introducing the Broccolini to Vancouver and Portland.
Happy hour is also about to get a bit more happy! We’re adding our Mac + Cheese to our happy hour menu for $2 off in Vancouver and Portland!
We’ll also be saying goodbye to some items on the same day: the Gem + Tomato Salad, Cheese + Pate Board, and Mermaid ice cream. Hurry in and get your fix before they’re gone!
NEW YEAR, NEW BRUNCH
On Saturday, January 26th, we’re rolling out a whole new brunch menu and introducing it in Toronto!
“Our primary goal with this rollout was to update some of the pizzas we’ve had on the menu since our brunch launch about a year ago,” says Jim Vesal, Director of Culinary. “We wanted to incorporate both new flavours and exciting new products, including Beyond Meat’s amazing new Hot Italian Sausage. We are also happy to report that thanks to guest feedback we took the opportunity bring back the house made chorizo patty for the Sunny Side breakfast sandwich.”
Huevos Rancheros Pizza:
Enchilada Sauce, Tofu Scramble, Sautéed Peppers & Onions, Queso Fresco, Sour Cream Drizzle, Fresh Cilantro
Sausage + Egg Pizza:
Hot Italian Beyond Sausage, Potato Cream, Tofu Scramble, Oven Dried Tomatoes, Kale *Vancouver and Toronto only
Biscuit + Gravy Sandwich:

Thank you to everyone who gave the Holiday Pizza a try, rounded up their bills, or made a donation! With your support, we were able to raise a combined total of $1300 for Sheway in Vancouver, Red Lodge Transition Services in Portland, and Second Harvest in Toronto.
To everyone who attended our NYE Dinner Fundraiser in Portland, thanks to you we were able to raise $825 for Red Lodge Transition Services. We had the best time hosting you and wrapping up 2018 together!
