Today, we’re excited to get to know Virtuous Pie Portland Chef, Aaron Whitmore. 

Chef Aaron is the kind of Chef that everyone is glad to work with: encouraging, communicative, empathetic, humble and inspiring. No matter what else is going on in the shop or in life, he’s always got his team at his forefront and is consistently leading by positive example. He’s always willing to go above and beyond, gives the best local recommendations, and loves his community. We’re lucky to have him at our helm!

What’s your favourite pizza on the menu?

The world wasn’t ready for our Clam Chowder Pizza so I guess I’ll have to say the Sweet Pepper + Sausage. It reminds me of the pizzas I’d eat as a kid.

What about off-menu – any add-on or swap hacks you can recommend to guests?  

Add fried shallots to anything and everything!

What’s a fun fact people might not know about you?

I have a love/hate relationship with running, I’m the best uncle that’s ever lived, and I have a cat named Sharon.
