PRIDE PINT AT VIRTUOUS PIE

PRIDE PINT AT VIRTUOUS PIE

For all of June, we’re donating $1 from every Caramel Macchiato pint sold.

With inclusiveness a core pillar of Virtuous Pie, it’s important for us to acknowledge and support our local LGBTQIA2+ community & team members – and Pride Month is a natural time to highlight and support the community.

To partake in Pride Month this year, we’ve teamed up with several organizations from our communities: QMUNITY in Vancouver, Victoria Pride Society in Victoria, and New Avenues for Youth in Portland.

Vancouver

QMUNITY, BC’s queer, trans, and Two-Spirit resource centre improves the lives of the LGBTQ2SAI+ community and provides safe space for them, and serves as a catalyzer for community initiatives and collective strength. Provides support through its youth, seniors & older adults, counselling, informational & referrals programming and services, and helps connect folks through volunteer opportunities and peer support groups. QMUNITY also provides education services and queer competency trainings to help individuals, families, businesses, schools, and service providers to identify and avoid discriminatory behaviours and to explore the complexity, fluidity, and potential of sexual & gender diversity through publications, multimedia materials, one-on-one consultations, and interactive workshops.

Victoria

We’ll be donating to the Victoria Pride Society,
to provide funding to the Youth Leadership Council.

The Victoria Pride Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is a group of 14 to 24 year-olds that meet monthly to plan youth initiatives and events that relate to the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

The purpose of YLC is to foster learning opportunities, be a forum to voice youth needs, and inform key initiatives to make positive impacts in our communities!

Portland

New Avenues for Youth is a non-profit organization in Portland, OR dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. Since 1997, our programs and services have impacted nearly 30,000 young people as they work to overcome barriers, pursue their goals, and realize their potential. From supporting basic needs like meals, housing and counseling to providing opportunities for education, job training, and employment, we meet youth where they are- and help them get where they want to go.
