We’re thrilled to introduce our October feature, the “Vlad Is Love” pizza. A creation that pays homage to the comforting flavours of family recipes. 

The “Vlad Is Love” Pizza 

Virtuous Pie’s classic vegan pizza dough generously smothered with a velvety parmesan cream sauce, topped with herbed roast potatoes, oven-dried tomatoes, plus a sprinkle of arugula, walnut pesto, and freshly grated parmesan. 

The story behind the pizza 

Meet Vlad Perekrostov — the culinary virtuoso behind “Vlad Is Love.” Originally from Ukraine, Vlad recently joined our team in Vancouver. We couldn’t be happier to have him as an integral part of our kitchen. 

Vlad’s journey with this limited-edition pizza began when he decided to recreate a cherished family recipe from his mother. 

When Vlad presented the first product test to our team, everyone was captivated by the combination of flavours and textures. 

All that was left was to give it the perfect name.  

Choosing the perfect name 

Our team initially had plans to call the pizza “Grandma’s Garden” — a nod to the warmth of home-cooked meals. 

We loved the sentimental touch. It made perfect sense. 

But one day, one of our team members shouted out, “Vlad Is Love!” This name instantly resonated with everyone and brought smiles and laughter to the room. 

We loved it because it captured the essence of Vlad’s passion and the dedication he poured into this creation. An ode to our teammate, if you will. 

We can’t wait for you to try this labour of love.
